My life as a musician and the very core of my being has been shaped by my heritage as a Honduran. My story is one of resilience and never-ending optimism for the betterment of the Latino community. As a Latino conductor, coming from a region that is not accustomed to classical music, it has been my goal to be both a model and a facilitator of fusing my cultural background with a Western standard of music. I work to encourage both colleagues and students to work on not only Latin music, but also music of all diverse cultural backgrounds.
